Following the Historic Easter Baptism in York we presented certificates to some of our people on Sunday.

This is the first time that our church has issued Baptism Certificates signed by the Archbishop of York. This an indication of our constant drive for more unity among churches, something we value at York Elim.

This is part 5 of the series and the subject is Armageddon.

Graham mentions Christian Zionism and looks for the theological influences said to be shaping Republican thinking and planning in the U.S. currently. He looks at why some Christians believe the end of the world will come sooner with their help.

In his sermon Graham mentions a website, this is the link http://www.iraqwar.org/ArmageddonUpdates.htm or click here.

Monique has emailed. She worshipped with us in York until summer of ‘06 but is now home in the USA. Highlights of her email are as follows:

“Greetings from the Land of Sunny Skies :o)

To celebrate my birthday I spent 12 hours downtown at the annual Jazz Jubilee Festival listening and dancing to classic and modern jazz, dixieland, blues and swing. The day before a friend invited me over to her house and we feasted on barbecued ribs, chicken and corn, with freshly picked cherries on the side. And of course there was chocolate cake and ice cream too!”

It’s now been over 6 months that Monique has been working at the autistic school and she is now wondering if it the right career for her. She is currently looking for a new job in the school districts to work with students with learning disabilities.

Monique says if you are the praying type, she would really appreciate your prayers, particularly for a good job.
